Work closely with the building permit applications team to review structural designs for safety, code compliance, and adherence to departmental policies. Effectively communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities regarding project requirements and documentation for building permit submissions. Conduct comprehensive reviews of structural systems, models, designs, and interpret results using structural design software. This ensures the safety and stability of structures in accordance with governing codes. Perform structural analysis and design using software and hand calculations to guarantee structural integrity. Review all project documentation and deliverables to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures. Manage departmental projects with the team, leveraging familiarity with project management practices. Support clients and company projects by providing guidance on structural design, potential improvements, and execution. Maintain, organize, and track TSS permits, approvals, drawings, and other technical documentation to ensure easy retrieval. Ensure all projects/applications comply with company regulations and relevant authority requirements to obtain building permit approvals. Oversee NOC (No Objection Certificate) processes with local and federal authorities for infrastructure works. Follow up with concerned staff regarding approvals for permits, drawings, NOCs, and other technical documentation to ensure timely completion. Escalate any unresolved issues to the line manager and follow up until resolution. Prepare structural design reports and recommend potential improvements for existing buildings. Calculate loads and stresses for industrial construction and other applications. Participate in contractor work review and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
What you'll need to succeed
UAE National with a Family Book as per government requirements. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or a related field. 3+ years' experience in similar role / Engineering Consulting firms or municipal/ construction permitting authorities. Fluent in English and Arabic. Ability to communicate well in industry language. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use structural calculations software. Effective technical skills. Ability to work both in a team environment as well as independently. Highly organized and process oriented. Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. Possess sound work ethics, cultural awareness and sensitivity. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.#J-18808-Ljbffr
