Your role
As a Senior Consultant, you are an expert at contributing to manage, monitor and support Microsoft Windows servers. You will need to:

  • Proven experience as a Windows Server Administrator
  • Configuration of servers, operating systems administration, hardening, load balancers, firewall including but not limited to management of users, processes, resource contention, preventive maintenance and management of updates & patches to ensure that the system is properly updated.
  • Re-installation in the event of system crash/failures
  • Periodic health check of the systems, troubleshooting problems, analyzing and implementing recertification measures.
  • Implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures for maintenance of the infrastructure
  • Management of the usernames, roles and passwords of all the relevant subsystems, including, but not limited to servers, applications, devices, etc.
  • Implementing security on the Internet and Intranet
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
  • Install and configure software and hardware.
  • Manage network servers and technology tools, Set up accounts and workstations.
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages, Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.
  • Upgrade/ patching of systems with new releases and models time to time.
  • Maintain cloud infrastructure, application and database backup.
  • Configure and Maintain Server scaling and High Availability & Disaster Recovery
  • Web / Mobile Application release management activities on staging and production server.
  • Application Deployment on .Net / Java/ PHP based applications on Windows / Linux Servers

Required
  • Experience in windows server administration background
  • Hands-on experience with Windows server administration
  • Good knowledge of various Windows operating system and platform
  • Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language
  • Familiarity with security tools, data backup/recovery and best practices
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
