Job PurposeStarting in 2017, Emirates Flight Training Academy has grown and now has a fleet of 22 Cirrus single-engine aircraft, 3 DA42s, and 5 Phenom VLJs. Currently with 290 cadets on course, we aim to increase this number to 400+ by 2026. The L&D Specialist will provide implementation of learning and development solutions for Maths and Physics within the Aviation Science course for cadets at EFTA to support business goals. Responsibilities include:
Adhering to the predefined training and development frameworkDiagnosing learning and performance gapsDesigning, developing, and delivering innovative solutionsEvaluating business impactEnsuring that changes to the business environment are analyzed and recordedUpdating training programme content to keep learning solutions currentDemonstrating adherence to Quality and StandardsImplementing plans in alignment with departmental mission, values, goals, and policiesProviding professional expertise and products in line with the corporate revenue generation strategyEstablishing and maintaining effective ongoing relationships with key contactsEnsuring assigned L&D projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet customer expectations
Qualifications & ExperienceTo be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)5 years proven subject matter expertise in a specialist roleMinimum 5 years practical experience in the delivery of mathematics and/or physics at secondary school levelSpecialization in one of the following areas is preferred: Aviation, Marketing, Business, HRD related field, Education/Training, IT, English Language, LeadershipProfessional qualifications in training would be preferredStrong interpersonal skills and a cultural sensitivity to the local communityAbility to influence diverse groups of people through excellent communication and presentation techniquesExperience of working in an environment aligned to international audit and regulatory requirements relevant to the area of specializationGood project management knowledge and use of project management and MS Office productsPractical working knowledge of learning and development processes and methodologies
