Supervisor, Marine Operations

Job PurposeSupervise, coordinate and lead the performance of the operational activities related to the control of marine facilities and personnel deployed in offshore oil fields, to ensure that operations carried without risk to the health of those taking part or any other person affected by the marine operations.In addition, to ensure the safety and integrity of the oil fields structures, equipment, and machineries in accordance with company established policies and procedures Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)Monitor and guide team members on the performance of assigned work tasks to ensure meeting the appropriate skills and required servicesGenerate work instructions related to team members and marine vessels operating in offshore oil fields to ensure that work activities comply with organization standards and relevant regulationsConduct pre-engagement briefings on the tasks to be undertaken before commencement of the operation to ensure that each person taking part is aware of contents of the mission, safety procedures, and unusual hazards or environmental conditions likely to affect the safety of the operationScreens proficiencies and qualifications of personnel prior to deployment on vessels operating in oilfields or other company facilities to ensure competencies conform to maritime and company minimum requirementsOrganize daily work programs to ensure that work progress is in accordance with planned deliverables and achievement milestonesReview daily performance reports and recognize deviations from scheduled achievements to recommend corrective actions or modifications to work controlsDetect and identify any limitations or work overloads due to lack of resources to ensure provision of sufficient capital and material resources under the supervision of the section head or team leaderInspects work sites to identify any hazardous or unsafe conditions and take necessary action to eliminate exposure to personnel, environment, or facility assetsInteracts with team leader, section head, contractor's personnel, or any other team members to resolve conflicts and improve work outcomeParticipate in the development of the scope of works and technical specs for the marine units to ensure meeting project plan and service requirementsAudit vessels' conditions, systems, and equipment prior to acceptance to operate in company offshore sites to ensure the vessel is fit for her intended mission and all certificates, equipment, and systems on board comply with maritime requirements, company standards, and project planJob Specific Accountabilities (Part 2)Review proficiencies and qualifications for personnel proposed to work on marine units operating in company offshore locations or to interface with company facilities to ensure their level of competency comply with approved procedures, policies, and project requirements Provide proficient advise and act as an expert for issues related to marine servicesMonitor and supervise all activities related to marine operations according to the project plan to eliminate any hazard exposure to the company facilitiesCarry out duties in line with company policies and procedures and as directed by the line managerSchedule and supervise the daily movements and work activities of marine units and contractors to ensure performance in accordance with scope of project planContribute to development of contingency plans and shall be available to answer calls at all times to ensure immediate dealing with emergencies and act as directed by the line manager as well as contribute to incident investigations as requiredMonitors the operating conditions, service equipment and systems, and the physical fitness of the team members to modify the plan to any changes from original conditionsParticipates in International and local forums on technical issues relevant to marine operations to promote adopting technology advancesMaintain a daily record for details of any deviation of operating conditions or changes in schedules from original project plan to ensure that all necessary information and particulars are available for informed decision making by department managerProvide supervision, training and development activities for new personnel to support organization's succession plansGeneric AccountabilitiesSupervision•

Provide input for preparation of the Department / Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives. •

Implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section's work programs in line with Company and International standards.•

Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.•

Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.•

IMCA Air Diving supervisor or equivalent trade certificate from a recognized organization •
HSE Part 1 or equivalent Offshore Diver Certification from a recognized organization•
