Job DescriptionContract Specialist Supply Chain Fugro Middle East has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Contract Specialist Supply ChainThe successful candidate will act as a key member of the Supply Chain (Procurement) team and will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating supplier contracts or subcontracts. This includes handling standard supplier contracts in the field of 3rd party personnel, equipment, MRO, charters, etc. The Contract Specialist will ensure that contractual risks are identified, properly evaluated, and mitigated.Who we areDo you want to join our Geo-data revolution? For individuals who can take the initiative but work well within a team.Job responsibilities:Draft, review and negotiate supplier contracts in line with templates provided by Legal and Fugro policies.Act as a key member of the Supply Chain (Procurement) team, participate in commercial and legal discussions with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure that contractual risks are identified, properly evaluated, and mitigated. Raise awareness of contractual risks with internal stakeholders.Ensure proper contract administrationPromote the principles of good procurement and contract management practice throughout the companyResponsible for preparation/review of all relevant contractual correspondence exchanged during project execution.Monitor all contract deliverables and the contract performance as well as identify risks and opportunities. Support handling of supplier claims.Assumes overall responsibility for all contractual and commercial issues related to the management of change, including ensuring claims are issued within the timeframes set out in the contract and receiving all required internal approvals preparing, interfacing with involved functions, and negotiating any claims against partners and subcontractorsWorks closely with internal stakeholders: Supply Chain (Procurement), Finance, Legal, Insurance, Fleet Services, project managers and various business stakeholders.Resolving contractual disputes and claims with vendors or suppliersMaintaining accurate and organized documentation related to procurement contracts, legal correspondence, and compliance activities to support legal and audit requirements.Undertaking any additional responsibilities assigned by managers to support both the procurement and legal teamsYou bring (qualifications & experience)Law degree preferred though Business degree with strong contract management experience will be acceptable3 - 6 years’ experience with contractsExperience in Maritime/ EPC/ Engineering companies is preferred. Project experience (with EPC companies and/or offshore projects) is a plus.Strong negotiation skills and experienceUnderstand inter-disciplinary relations and requirementsExceptional communication and presentation skillsAbility to provide open and direct dialogue with stakeholdersHigh level of integrity and ethicsAbility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Interpersonal Skills, Including but Not Limited ToOrganizational Skills/Time ManagementConfidenceStrong minded: ability to understanding of when to walk away and when to stand one’s groundAbility to manage changeAbility to prioritize and work under (short) deadlinesProfessional deliveryResults focusedProactive/committed approachGood team playerSelf-motivated and persistentWhat we offerFugro provides a positive work environment as well as projects that will satisfy the most curious minds.
