Merrachi, a leading brand in the modest fashion world, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join us as a Buying & Production Coordinator. In this role, you will be an integral part of our Buying and Production team, assisting in various daily activities to ensure seamless operations and outstanding product quality.Your Responsibilities:As a Buying & Production Coordinator at Merrachi, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including:·
Preparing and Updating the Buying Overview: Keeping track of our buying activities and maintaining accurate records to facilitate smooth operations.·
Placing Purchase Orders: Collaborating with suppliers and ensuring timely and accurate purchase order placement.·
Global Supplier Communication: Maintaining regular contact with our suppliers worldwide to ensure on-time deliveries and smooth communication.·
Factory Visits: Traveling alongside the Buying & Production Manager to factories for close coordination and oversight.·
Quality Control: Reviewing quality control reports to ensure our products meet the highest standards.·
Deadline Management: Playing a crucial role in meeting tight deadlines and ensuring efficient production schedules.·
Negotiation: Skillfully negotiating deliveries and prices to achieve optimal outcomes for both parties.·
Supply Chain Management: Booking and tracking deliveries, keeping a close eye on critical paths, and promptly addressing any delivery issues.·
Supplier Relationships: Cultivating and nurturing positive relationships with our suppliers to foster collaboration and excellence.·
Delivery Monitoring: Monitoring delivery times and processing packing lists to maintain efficient supply chain operations.·
Ad-hoc Support: Providing valuable support to the Buying and Production teams by addressing ad-hoc queries and challenges.Who You Are:To thrive in this role, you possess the following qualifications and characteristics:·
Educational Background: A bachelor degree or equivalent qualification.·
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Buying and Production within the fashion industry.·
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills to ensure effective coordination.·
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, coupled with exceptional organizational skills and high accuracy.·
Multitasking: Proficiency in setting priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.·
Technical Proficiency: Excellent system skills, especially in Excel, to manage data and processes effectively.·
Willingness to Travel: Availability and willingness to travel to supplier locations as needed.·
Language Skills: Professional-level proficiency in both written and spoken English.·
Location: Dubai·
