We are looking to hire a Fire Safety Compliance Manager whose main responsibility will be to to own and maintain the Building Fire Safety Plan (Manual) on behalf of a Facility Responsible Owner, ensuring it meets AFS & UAE Fire Code requirements. This role is for our client based in Dubai, which is one of the largest government entities in the region.This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 18 months and is renewable.The role sits within the Service Delivery Department and reports directly to the Head of Service Delivery.We are looking for a Fire Safety Compliance Manager who is passionate about facilitating fire corrective actions and supporting the business to plan and address corrective actions accordingly. You should have experience in Fire Safety Compliance.Key responsibilities:Regulatory ComplianceEnsure the corrective action modifications are implemented as per AFS and code requirements.Organise and ensure completion of audits and inspections as per the requirements of the building fire safety plan.Stay updated on changes in fire safety regulations and implement necessary adjustments to ensure continuous compliance.Coordinate with AFS on reviewing Fire alarm, firefighting, and fire compartmentation zoning to ensure coherence between zones.Communication and Stakeholders ManagementCollaborate closely with the project team on facility inspections and corrective actions of varying priority levels (Immediate, high, medium, and low), ensuring that necessary modifications to achieve code compliance are committed to and delivered within agreed-upon timelines.Communicate with third-party service partners, tenants, and operators of buildings to ensure their understanding of responsibilities and obligations outlined in the Building Fire Safety Manual.Ability to collaborate with building management and fire department officials (AFS) to address any safety concerns during and after the project delivery.Risk Assessment and MitigationCollaborate with AFS to conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential fire hazards within the terminal environment.Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the likelihood of fire incidents.Collaborate with relevant departments to address identified risks and implement necessary preventive measures.Coordinate with AFS and ensure the evacuation plans are updated with tenants, concessionaires, and retail outlets, and suggest improvements.Training and EducationDevelop and deliver fire safety training programs for terminal staff, contractors, and tenants.Provide ongoing education and awareness initiatives to promote a culture of fire safety throughout the organization.Keep personnel informed about fire safety procedures, equipment operation, and emergency protocols.Documentation and ReportingOwn and maintain the update the Building Fire Safety Manual regularly.Maintain accurate records of fire safety inspections, audits, and training sessions.Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required.Document incidents, near misses, and corrective actions taken to address deficiencies.Bachelors Degree in Fire Science, Emergency Management, or a related field.Professional certification such as the below are desirable:~ Certified Fire Inspector (CFI by ICC).~ Certified Safety Professional (CSP by BCSP).~ Certified Emergency Manager (CEM by IAEM).Strong understanding of fire codes, regulations, and standards, including NFPA, IBC, and UAE Fire Code.Proficiency in spoken and written English. Arabic Speaker is preferred.Excellent communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and extensive knowledge of airport-specific systems and applications.Familiarity with AutoCAD would be considered advantage, and data reporting tools.Availability:Preference will be given to candidates available immediately or a maximum 30 days after accepting the offer.We are looking for a candidate who will be able to work in United Arab Emirates.
