Join us.Position Summary:TikTok is seeking an experienced Tax Analyst in Dubai who will become an integral part of our global Tax Department. In this role, you will be responsible for tax matters in the Middle East and Africa Region, including but not limited to corporate income tax compliance, indirect tax compliance, tax planning, tax risk assessment etc. The Tax Manager will face countless challenges and will have plenty of learning and growth opportunities in the region.Team Introduction:The METAP Tax team is building to work with other corporate functions on tax advisory, planning, structuring, and tax controversy. We ensure compliance with direct (corporate income tax) and indirect tax and solve tax-related issues.Responsibilities:– Tax Risk Assessments: Conduct tax risk assessments, identify potential exposures, and provide practical solutions with support from external tax consultants.– Internal Collaboration: Collaborate internally with the tax team to prepare and review tax validations, reconcile tax data, and review VAT General Ledger accounts. Identify tax compliance issues, provide recommendations, and address red flags.– Legislation Monitoring: Monitor and analyze proposed and newly enacted tax legislation, regulations, and judicial decisions affecting company operations and financial positions.– Tax Compliance Checks: Support the tax team in conducting periodic tax compliance checks on business units. Highlight areas of exceptions and ensure compliance with document requirements.– Ad-Hoc Tax Support: Independently prepare tax advice and provide ad-hoc tax support on various service lines, business projects, and products in the region.Qualifications– Experience: Strong progressive tax working experience in the Middle East, Pakistan, Africa region, with Big 4/large MNC.– Industry Experience: TMT/technology industry working experience is a plus.– International Tax Analysis: Capable of conducting international tax analysis independently.– Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.– Skills: Detail-oriented, good team player, honest, adaptable, keen learner, diligent, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.TikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
