Job Description: Landscape InspectorLocation: Dubai, UAEParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Landscape Inspector to join our team In this role, you will get to work with prestigious clients in Dubai, UAE.What You'll Be Doing:
Conduct inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications. This may include:
Installation of Irrigation and soft landscaping, hard landscapingInstallation of temporary and permanent signs and delineationInstallation of mechanical equipmentBuilding and facility construction and associated site developmentTaking project photographs on a daily basis and filing them
In Addition:
Maintain office files related to the project, quantity calculations, and write daily diaries.Prepare daily reports and other documentation required by the contract.Verify that only approved materials are incorporated into the work.Perform labor compliance interviews and maintain as-built plans.Recognize potential conflicts, issues, and problems and report to supervisor with proposed solutions.Collect, review, and file Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags, and other information relevant to the materials used.
Key Relationships:
Supervision Received: Construction Management (all levels); Project Manager (all levels)Supervision Given: Lower-level inspectors (technical guidance only)Internal Contacts: All employees on projectExternal Contacts: Clients; Suppliers; Subcontractors
Required Skills:
Associate's Degree in a technical discipline or construction-related field, or a high school diploma and equivalent work experience.Typically 5+ years of related experience on field projects and formal certification from an independent organization, depending on the type of inspection assignment.Some knowledge of public works contracts may be preferred.Construction safety training including OSHA 10-hour training.
Desired Skills:
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.Thoroughly familiar with construction-related processes related to the area of assignment.Knowledge of English grammar and composition, and the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.Capability to perform math calculations.Thorough understanding of scheduling and the ability to review progress pay estimates and extra work bills.Ability to recognize hazardous work conditions and take necessary action.
