Finance Executive

Zapegg Tax Consultant is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially aware Finance Executive to support its financial and accounting operations in Dubai. The role involves maintaining financial records, monitoring transactions, supporting accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and cash-flow activities. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, good analytical skills, and the ability to handle financial information accurately and confidentially.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain accurate financial and accounting records.
- Record daily income, expenses, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Prepare and verify invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and supporting documents.
- Monitor customer balances and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Review supplier statements and assist with payment processing.
- Perform regular bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations.
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts and supporting schedules.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Prepare financial summaries, expense reports, and management information as required.
- Monitor company expenses and ensure transactions are properly documented.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow monitoring.
- Review financial data to identify discrepancies, unusual transactions, or missing information.
- Coordinate with internal departments to collect required financial documents.
- Support the preparation of documents required for UAE VAT and tax compliance.
- Maintain organized records for audits, tax filings, and financial reviews.
- Assist senior finance professionals with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Ensure accounting entries are accurate, complete, and properly supported.
- Monitor payment schedules and assist with maintaining healthy cash-flow records.
- Prepare and maintain financial spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
- Assist with management reporting and financial analysis.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client and company financial information.
- Follow established accounting policies, internal controls, and company procedures.
- Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by management. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Previous experience in finance, accounting, or a similar position is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT and tax documentation is an advantage.
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.
