As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, planning, and delivering complex projects within the electricity distribution and transmission industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and innovate in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment.Design, plan, and execute large-scale electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulationsDevelop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, budgeting, and schedulingLead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environmentConduct thorough site investigations and develop comprehensive engineering solutions and designsManage multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities and resources effectivelyPrepare detailed cost proposals, quotations, and validated estimates for project offersOversee equipment specification, procurement, and supplier/contractor interfacesReview and approve designs, submissions, and tenders from various stakeholdersEnsure project delivery meets quality, safety, and environmental standardsConduct regular project audits and site inspections to maintain high-quality standardsIdentify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as neededMaintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technological advancementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in project delivery processesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred); HNC or equivalent qualifications will be consideredMinimum of 10 years of experience in the electricity distribution and/or transmission industry, with a proven track record in project engineeringDemonstrated experience managing major projects and high-volume workstreams, including responsibility for projects valued in excess of $5 millionStrong technical knowledge across all distribution asset classes (cables, overhead lines, substations, and civil works)Expertise in managing projects from low voltage up to and including 66kV systemsProficiency in project management methodologies and software toolsNEBOSH certification or equivalent qualification in safety managementExperience working on CDM (Construction Design and Management) notifiable projectsExcellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse project teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented approach to workOutstanding communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectivelyProven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standardsFamiliarity with industry regulations and standards in the UAE electrical sector (preferred)Willingness to travel to project sites as requiredAdditional Information
