Job Summary:

The Quantity Surveyor / Estimation Engineer will be responsible for managing the complete cost estimation process once a project is awarded. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in the fit-out residential and joinery field, with the ability to prepare BOQs, detailed costing, and accurate pricing based on project drawings and specifications. The role requires a professional who can evaluate project requirements, control costs, and ensure profitability while maintaining quality and compliance with UAE standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities to understand project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed estimations and quotations for projects including interior, fit-out, and joinery works, covering material, labor, and overhead costs to determine total project cost.
  • Assist in preparing tender documents, including pricing, schedules, and commercial terms.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project conditions, identify potential risks, and gather data for accurate estimation.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and propose alternative solutions without compromising on project quality.
  • Identify and assess potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate them to project stakeholders.
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy in estimation and smooth project delivery.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (mandatory).
  • UAE Experience: 100% mandatory – candidates must have relevant experience in the UAE construction or fit-out industry.
  • Professional Certification: Certification from a recognized professional body such as RICS, CIOB, or AIQS will be an advantage.
  • Fit-Out - Residential and Joinery Experience: Candidates with prior experience in interior fit-out and joinery works will be highly preferred.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and provide cost-effective solutions.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively coordinate with project stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in cost estimation, tendering, and project documentation.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Proven experience as an estimator in residential construction or Home/Villa renovations (3+ years must in UAE).
  • Interior Fit-Out Industry: Comprehensive understanding of materials, labor, and cost structures in interior and joinery projects.
  • Construction Regulations and Standards: Familiarity with UAE construction codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Compensation:

  • Salary will be based on performance and experience demonstrated during the evaluation and interview process.
  • Important Note:
