Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Procurement Officer - ERP Specialist, located in Abu Dhabi. The role involves handling procurement and purchasing operations, managing purchase orders, and negotiating contracts. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring cost-efficient procurement practices, analyzing procurement data, and maintaining inventory levels. Collaboration with vendors to achieve the best value and alignment with company objectives is a key aspect of this role, alongside the utilization of ERP systems for managing procurement activities.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and experience in Procurement and Purchasing processes
  • Proficiency in Purchase Orders and Contract Negotiation
  • Excellent Analytical Skills to evaluate and optimize procurement activities
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and their application in procurement and inventory management
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders
  • Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Material Master Data Management:
     Create and maintain accurate and consistent material/resource codes in the ERP system.
  • ERP System Configuration:
     Customize ERP modules related to inventory, procurement, and production to support material coding.
  • Data Governance:
     Ensure adherence to internal standards and external regulations for material data.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
     Coordinate with procurement, inventory, production, and IT teams to align material codes with operational requirements.
  • Documentation:
     Maintain comprehensive records of coding structures, naming conventions, and change logs.
  • Training & Support:
     Provide training and ongoing support to users on material coding procedures.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering.

Certifications
(preferred but not mandatory)
:

  • SAP ERP Certification (e.g., SAP MM or SAP Master Data Governance)
  • Oracle ERP Certification
  • Microsoft Dynamics Certification

Experience:

  • 2–5 years of experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
  • Proven experience in material master data management or ERP implementation

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and material master data structures
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
