IT Network Operations Manager

Duration: Yearly Renewable Contract
Core Accountabilities:
- Plan network technology roadmaps and configure / optimize network services internally and those integrated with internet-based services.
- Administer systems and servers related to the network for the purpose of ensuring availability of services to authorized users.
- Highlight problems that arise with computer networks and systems, and propose resolutions.
- Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, latency, etc.) and highlight any weaknesses, if visible.
- Manage network/server services and documentation (e.g. active directory, back-ups, configuration, customer SLAs, disaster recovery, DNS, email, inventory, IP addressing, logical architecture, network traffic monitoring/shaping, non-technical (end user) training, performance.
- Oversee the installation of cabling ports, IP Phones and network points activation and termination in different locations; oversee wireless coverage and performance of access points.
- Responsible to ensure accurate patch management has been implemented, through automation toolsets.
- Maintain communications room status (access control, lighting, cleanliness, UPS, temperature sensor, earthling, cooling, etc.).
- Oversee maintenance of network security devices - Firewall/Proxy/ VPN gateway/network-access control.
- Perform any other duties as requested by the reporting manager
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field, with relevant professional certifications (e.g. CCNP, CCIE, AWS, etc.)
