We have partnered with a global organisation to appoint a senior technology leader to take full accountability for the oversight and governance of its enterprise infrastructure estate. This is a high impact role responsible for directing a fully outsourced operating model, shaping long term infrastructure strategy, and ensuring the organisation receives a secure, resilient and cost efficient service across all regions.

About the role:

  • The Head of IT Infrastructure will provide strategic leadership across global infrastructure services spanning cloud, network, data centre, workplace technologies and core platform operations.
  • They will take ownership of the relationship with the external managed service provider, enforcing governance frameworks, scrutinising performance, and ensuring contractual KPIs are met across availability, incident response, service quality and financial control.
  • A major priority for this role is reducing cloud consumption costs across the enterprise. This leader will be responsible for introducing and scaling a mature FinOps practice across the wider IT organisation. They will define the operating model, drive cultural adoption, embed cost accountability into engineering and product teams, and ensure cloud resources are used efficiently and transparently.
  • This will include building cost dashboards, enforcing tagging and optimisation standards, eliminating waste, renegotiating consumption agreements, and establishing clear guardrails for ongoing cloud usage.
  • The role will also direct enterprise wide continuity and disaster recovery planning, oversee major incident management, and drive a culture of operational excellence through data driven reporting, service transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Working closely with Technology, Cyber Security, Product and Finance, this individual will shape infrastructure priorities that support the company's broader transformation agenda.

About you:

  • You will have operated at senior or VP level within a large enterprise environment, where you have led global infrastructure functions and governed outsourced providers delivering business critical services.
  • You will bring strong expertise in cloud infrastructure at scale, with proven experience implementing or maturing FinOps disciplines, reducing cloud consumption costs, and embedding cost ownership across technical teams.
  • You will have deep technical understanding across core infrastructure domains, but you operate first and foremost as a strategic leader able to influence board level stakeholders, challenge external partners, and guide long term investment decisions.
  • You will be comfortable navigating complex global environments, introducing structure and governance, and leading change across diverse teams and third party organisations.
