We are looking for an experienced joinery estimator 4 to 6 years' experience in joinery estimation who is presently available in UAE. This role requires strong technical knowledge of joinery production, materials, and finishes, combined with the ability to interpret drawings, raise RFI's to fit-out estimator and work closely with the production team to ensure commercially viable pricing. Candidates who have a prior experience in reputed joinery firms shall only be considered for this position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Tendering & Estimation


• Prepare detailed cost estimates for custom made fixed furniture's from ID drawings, architectural drawings, specification cut sheets, and client requirements.


• Break down scope of works into labour, materials, subcontractor costs, and overheads.


• Prepare BOQs (Bills of Quantities) in design & built projects and cost summaries.


• Source and evaluate prices from suppliers and subcontractors.


• Ensure all estimates comply with technical specifications and industry standards.

Coordination & Communication


• Liaise with designers, and workshop teams to confirm technical feasibility and production methods.


• Clarify client requirements and resolve discrepancies in drawings or specifications before tender submission. (as RFI)

Technical & Commercial Analysis


• Analyse project risks and opportunities to ensure profitability. (Value engineering)

Documentation & Handover


• Prepare and submit tender documents on time.


• Maintain accurate records of estimates, supplier quotes, and project correspondence

Candidate Requirements:

  1. IT Literate – Plan swift/Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel
  2. Understanding of Metal/glass fabrication estimation to discuss with the corresponding team.
  3. Literate in English, Both written and oral
  4. Ability to work individually and as part of a team under tight deadlines.

Educational Qualification:
​

  • Degree/diploma in civil engineering or wood & paper technology shall be considered.
