About Your Team

You'll report to the HSE Coordinator and work closely with the Construction Risk Management (CRM) and Project teams on site. This role does not have direct reports but plays a key role in daily operations by advising, guiding, and inspecting project sites to ensure full EHSMS compliance and safety integration.

Your Role

As an
HSE Coordinator
, you will:

• Implement the ALEC EHSMS across a medium to low-risk project, ensuring full compliance in all areas (offices, laydown areas, welfare, etc.).
• Develop and implement project-specific EHS and associated management plans.
• Conduct daily inspections, issue action notices (minimum 3 per day), and ensure effective closeout.
• Monitor EHSMS control implementation, conduct random inspections, and ensure safe practices per MSRA.
• Advise project teams on operational risk and promote a strong EHS culture.
• Maintain accurate project EHS statistics and records; submit weekly/monthly reports to stakeholders.
• Participate in incident investigations and planned job observations.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance and conduct EHS audits.
• Support the roll-out of EHS training, awareness, and incentive programs on-site.

What We're Looking For

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years as a Construction Safety Officer in the UAE.
• Strong familiarity with UAE regulatory standards and construction site operations.

Knowledge:

• EHSMS implementation, risk assessments, incident investigation, MSRA, and permit-to-work systems.
• Understanding the commercial impact of safety issues on operations.

Expertise:

• NEBOSH IGC certification required.
• Diploma in EHS Management or an Engineering discipline.
• Proficient in English and Hindi (written and spoken).
• Registered professional with a recognised accreditation body.
• Computer literacy and strong reporting capabilities.
