The Civil Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all technical aspects of water infrastructure projects — including water distribution networks, pumping stations, reservoirs, and related civil works. The role involves close collaboration with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project delivery within schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Roles and responsibilities
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and execution for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Review and interpret design drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Supervise site activities and ensure compliance with design, safety, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and local authorities for project approvals and inspections.
- Prepare and review method statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and construction documentation.
- Monitor material usage, manpower allocation, and work progress to maintain project timelines.
- Support the procurement team with material submittals and vendor coordination.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and highlight issues impacting the project schedule.
- Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards at all stages of project execution.
- Participate in technical meetings and provide engineering solutions for on-site challenges.
- Assist in testing, commissioning, and project handover documentation.
