Overview

Our client is a highly active investment firm operating across venture capital, private credit and growth-oriented private equity, with a key focus on technology, fintech and platform businesses across the MENA region and beyond. They are seeking a Finance Analyst / Associate to join their Abu Dhabi office and play a pivotal role in the financial management of the firm's investment business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a core member of the finance team, overseeing the firm's day-to-day financial operations and driving forward its financial planning and control agenda.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders (fund administrators, banking partners, bookkeeping providers) to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial processes.
  • Lead the audit cycle by coordinating with external auditors and ensuring timely delivery of audited results.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements; develop and present investor reports at regular intervals.
  • Drive the annual budget and cash-flow forecasting process; produce monthly management accounts and monitor liquidity across the firm.
  • Track, analyse and report on portfolio companies' financial performance, assist in valuation updates and monitor portfolio cash flows.
  • Review, implement and enforce financial policies and procedures; ensure transaction records, bank reconciliations and firm-wide cash management are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Process invoices, salary payments and bank deposits; reconcile accounts and support the finance team in delivering financial transparency and discipline.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics from a recognised institution.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting or a similar role (experience within a Big 4 practice is preferred).
  • Professional qualification (e.g., CA, ACA, ACCA, CFA, CPA) is strongly desirable.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of financial and accounting procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with financial systems and tools
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and comfort with data analysis.
  • Solid understanding of financial regulations and tax procedures.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ethics, meticulous attention to detail, ability to handle confidential data and take ownership of deliverables.
  • Self-starter mindset with a team-oriented attitude; ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required.
