Job Title: L2 Network Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced L2 Network Engineer to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot our network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and robust security. You will work closely with the IT team to support and enhance our network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Management: - Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.

Firewall Management: - Demonstrate expertise in managing FORTIGATE firewalls, ensuring robust security protocols and efficient network traffic management.

Switch Configuration: - Configure and optimize network switches to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal network performance.

APC Systems Management: - Manage APC systems, including UPS management and power distribution units, to maintain uninterrupted power supply to critical infrastructure.

Data Center Operations: - Oversee data center operations, including cooling systems, rack management, and physical security measures.

Sophos Suite Expertise: - Utilize extensive familiarity with the Sophos software suite, covering endpoint security, encryption, and threat intelligence.

Endpoint Protection: - Manage Sophos hardware solutions for comprehensive endpoint protection and network security.

Troubleshooting:- Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure efficient network operations.

Documentation: - Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.

Collaboration: - Work closely with the IT team and other departments to support and enhance overall network infrastructure.

Qualifications:

Education: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on managing FORTIGATE firewalls, switches, and APC systems.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in configuring and optimizing network switches.

  • Strong knowledge of data center operations.

  • Expertise in the Sophos software suite and hardware solutions.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.

  • Ability to adapt to dynamic operational environments and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE) are highly desirable.

Driving License: A valid UAE driving license is a plus.
