We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Lab Technologist with a background in molecular biology to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Lab Technologist specializing in Molecular Biology, you will play a crucial role in performing and overseeing various molecular diagnostic assays. You will ensure compliance with laboratory protocols, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes. Your expertise will help advance our mission to provide exceptional healthcare services through innovative diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and oversee molecular diagnostic tests, including PCR, NGS, genotyping, and other relevant assays.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results through rigorous quality control and quality assurance procedures.
  • Supervise and train junior laboratory staff, providing guidance on laboratory techniques and protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret laboratory results and provide clinical insights.
  • Assist in the development and validation of new molecular tests and protocols.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and laboratory standards.
  • Participate in the review and documentation of laboratory procedures and policies.
  • Stay current with advancements in molecular biology and related technologies, incorporating new techniques as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Molecular Biology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant laboratory experience, including at least 2 years in the UAE and 4 years in your home country.
  • Strong knowledge of molecular biology techniques, including but not limited to PCR, qPCR, and next-generation sequencing.
  • Demonstrated experience in a clinical laboratory environment, with a focus on molecular diagnostics.
  • Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and data analysis software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and mentor junior staff.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED5,500.00 per month
