Job Profile : Foreman – Shuttering/Formwork is responsible for supervising and coordinating all formwork activities at the construction site. The role includes managing carpenters and labour teams, ensuring correct installation and dismantling of formwork, maintaining quality and safety standards, coordinating with other trades, and supporting overall site progress. The position requires strong technical knowledge of formwork systems, the ability to read construction drawings, and effective supervision skills to ensure smooth and timely execution of structural works..

Detailed Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Supervise shuttering carpenters, helpers, and labour teams at the construction site.
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure all formwork activities are completed as per schedule.
  • Coordinate work with site engineers, surveyors, and other foremen for smooth execution.
  • Read and understand structural and formwork drawings to guide accurate implementation.
  • Ensure proper fabrication, installation, alignment, stability, and dismantling of all formwork systems.
  • Inspect formwork before reinforcement and concrete pouring to ensure quality compliance.
  • Enforce safety rules, conduct toolbox talks, and report any unsafe acts or hazards on site.
  • Manage materials and equipment such as plywood, timber, steel forms, props, and jacks, ensuring proper storage and timely availability.
  • Monitor daily progress, maintain work records, and report manpower and site issues to senior staff.
  • Identify technical problems early and provide practical solutions to resolve alignment and support issues before casting.

Qualification requirements:

5-6 years of experience in Building contracting works.
