QA/QC Engineer / Team Lead (MEP Modular – Materials Handling)

Full-Time | Immediate Start Preferred

A fast-growing modular construction and engineering organization is looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer or Team Lead to join its production team. This role will oversee all quality assurance and control activities for MEP modular materials handling within a high-volume production environment. The focus is on ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and ELV modular materials meet approved specifications, datasheets, and international standards before moving into assembly or installation phases.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Leadership


• Lead daily inspections for mechanical, electrical, and ELV materials and assemblies within the modular production area


• Develop inspection plans, schedules, and task assignments for the QA/QC team


• Monitor compliance with ITPs, method statements, and all related quality procedures


• Ensure all inspection activities are executed efficiently, accurately, and in a safe manner

Materials Compliance


• Verify incoming materials and components against approved submissions and project specifications


• Ensure proper labeling, traceability, and compliant storage conditions for all materials


• Monitor handling, loading, unloading, and internal movement to prevent damage or contamination


• Ensure that critical materials remain protected and segregated as required

Documentation and Reporting


• Review and maintain MIRs, WIRs, NCRs, and daily inspection logs


• Track corrective actions and ensure closure of all non-conformance issues


• Prepare QA/QC reports for internal management and client review

Coordination and Communication


• Work closely with engineering, assembly, and logistics teams to resolve quality issues


• Conduct joint inspections with subcontractors and warehouse personnel


• Provide training, guidance, and support to junior QA/QC inspectors

Safety and Compliance


• Enforce HSE procedures across all inspection, handling, and storage activities


• Promote a strong quality culture aligned with international mechanical, electrical, and ELV standards

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering


• Minimum 7 years of QA/QC experience within modular fabrication, materials handling, or mission critical MEP projects


• Strong understanding of inspection processes, MIR/WIR/NCR workflows, and material compliance requirements


• Hands-on experience in modular assembly, storage procedures, and cross-discipline coordination


• Proven leadership experience in quality functions
