QA/QC Engineer

Job Summary

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all materials, workmanship, and processes comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and regulatory requirements. This role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality work throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Review project specifications, drawings, codes, and standards to ensure quality compliance
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks at various stages of construction/manufacturing
  • Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers on QA/QC requirements
  • Identify non-conformities, issue NCRs, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions
  • Ensure proper documentation of inspection reports, test results, and quality records
  • Monitor material approvals, method statements, and shop drawings for compliance
  • Witness and coordinate laboratory and field testing as required
  • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Provide QA/QC guidance and training to project personnel
  • Prepare quality reports and submit to management/client as required
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements related to quality activities

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in QA/QC within relevant industry
  • Strong knowledge of international codes and standards .
  • Experience with inspection, testing, and quality documentation
  • Certification such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor (preferred)
  • Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation systems
