As a Senior Planner, you shall be responsible for leading a group of planning engineers and overseeing the progression of an assigned projects in accordance with the approved budget, schedule requirements, and Fabrication, quality & HSE requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Diploma / ITI Welding Technology, or equivalent.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum
    5–8 years
    of relevant experience in welding supervision.
  • Experience in
    Oil & Gas, piping, pipe fabrication.
  • Knowledge of welding standards such as
    ASME, AWS, ISO
    .
  • Strong knowledge of TIG, MIG, SAW, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW and automation welding processes.
  • Familiar with WPS, PQR, WPQ, ITP, and welding codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, and weld symbols.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise day-to-day welding activities in line with project schedule and priorities.
  • Ensure all welding work is performed as per approved WPS, ITP, drawings, and project specifications.
  • Allocate welders, helpers, and equipment to achieve production targets.
  • Verify that welders are qualified and deployed only for approved welding processes.
  • Monitor weld quality and control repairs to minimize rework and delays.
  • Coordinate closely with QC, HSE and Stores departments.
  • Ensure availability and proper utilization of welding machines, consumables, and tools.
  • Maintain welding-related documentation including welder performance records, repair logs, and daily progress reports.
  • Identify technical or manpower-related issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Enforce compliance with HSE policies, safe work practices, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safe execution of welding activities.
  • Report daily progress, manpower deployment, and constraints to management.
