Role Overview
The Commercial Operations plays a critical role in managing the commercial engine of Project People. This role owns the day to day use of the CRM system to support outbound activity, campaigns, relationship management and follow-up, while also providing coordination across projects, client engagement and executive scheduling.
You will ensure that contacts, opportunities and campaigns are accurately managed, communication is timely and professional, and marketing and outreach activity is executed consistently.
Key Responsibilities
CRM Ownership & Campaign Execution
- Act as the primary owner of the CRM system, ensuring data accuracy, structure and consistency
- Build, manage and execute outbound email campaigns directly through the CRM
- Send questionnaires, surveys and feedback tools via CRM and campaign platforms
- Distribute marketing collateral, thought leadership and updates to targeted audiences
- Segment contact lists based on role, sector, geography and engagement status
- Track open rates, responses, engagement and follow-up actions
- Maintain opportunity stages, activity logs and next steps within the CRM
Marketing & Outreach Support
- Support the execution of marketing and business development campaigns
- Coordinate the distribution of decks, proposals and insight materials
- Ensure all outbound communication aligns with Project People positioning and tone
- Maintain a clean and up to date database for ongoing outreach activity
Project & Commercial Coordination
- Coordinate internal and external actions across live projects and commercial opportunities
- Track deliverables, actions and timelines to ensure momentum is maintained
- Support the senior team by keeping priorities visible and organised
Presentations & Materials
- Prepare and update presentation decks for client meetings, pitches and workshops
- Format and refine content to ensure clarity, consistency and professionalism
- Maintain a structured library of decks, templates and collateral
NDAs & Document Management
- Issue NDAs and engagement documentation
- Track signature status and follow up as required
- Ensure documents are correctly filed and accessible
Follow-Up & Relationship Management
- Manage follow-up actions after meetings, introductions and campaigns
- Ensure next steps are captured, communicated and progressed
- Act as a reliability layer between conversations and execution
Diary & Meeting Management
- Manage diaries and meeting schedules for senior team members
- Coordinate meetings across multiple stakeholders and time zones
- Ensure agendas, materials and preparation are in place
Candidate Profile
- Highly organised and process driven
- Confident using CRM systems as a core working tool
- Comfortable executing email campaigns and managing data
- Strong written communication and attention to detail
- Professional, proactive and commercially aware
Experience & Skills
- 2+ years in a coordination, operations, CRM or commercial support role
- Hands on experience with CRM systems and email campaign tools
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel capability
- Experience handling confidential and client facing communication
