AI Engineer (Agents, RAG's, Agentic) Series A

Our client is seeking an experienced
AI Engineer
to help build the next generation of AI-native SaaS products. This is a hands-on role at the heart of product development — ideal for someone passionate about creating intelligent, scalable, and user-centric AI applications that make a real impact.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, design, and product to define how modern AI systems are embedded directly into digital experiences. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects — from agentic automation tools to intelligent copilots — within a fast-growing, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy AI systems and agents that enhance user experiences across multiple SaaS products.
  • Develop and maintain LLM-based tools and internal chatbot applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Partner with product and design teams to identify key user challenges that can be solved through applied AI.
  • Contribute to all stages of the AI lifecycle, including data preparation, model fine-tuning, agent orchestration, prompt design, and evaluation.
  • Integrate external APIs, foundation models (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source), and enterprise systems to develop contextual and adaptive AI features.
  • Prototype and launch agentic workflows
  • Define and maintain standards around reliability, latency, and interpretability for production-grade AI systems.
  • Support and improve model infrastructure for monitoring, retraining, and continuous optimisation.

Technical Expertise

  • Advanced programming skills in
    Python
    with hands-on experience using frameworks such as
    PyTorch

  • Deep familiarity with
    LLM ecosystems

    vector databases

    RAG pipelines

  • Experience deploying AI systems on

    Docker

    Kubernetes
    for scalability.
  • Proven success in developing and shipping AI/ML-powered features in live production environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Computer Science

    , or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience
    in AI, NLP, or machine learning engineering, with a focus on LLMs and conversational AI.
  • Strong analytical and programming background, particularly in Python-based machine learning workflows.
