Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and local statutory regulations.
  • Prepare management reports, dashboards, and financial analysis for decision-making.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and external financial institutions.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and analyze variances.
  • Work with project teams to develop accurate project cost budgets and financial projections.

3. Project Accounting & Cost Control

  • Track project costs, variations, and profitability.
  • Maintain project-wise financial records and ensure proper allocation of costs.
  • Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and QS teams for cost monitoring and cash flow alignment.
  • Review supplier and subcontractor payments against project progress and approvals.

4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Manage company cash flow, bank facilities, and funding requirements.
  • Ensure timely collection of client payments and monitor receivables.
  • Optimize working capital by managing payables and inventory efficiently.

5. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and statutory compliance (VAT, WPS, etc.).
  • File VAT returns and coordinate with tax authorities.
  • Implement best practices in accounting systems and process improvement.

6. Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with management and other departments to align financial operations with business goals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Professional qualification preferred (CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in finance/accounting, with at least 3 years in an interior fit-out or construction company.
  • Strong understanding of project accounting, cost control, and financial planning in a contracting environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or Oracle) and MS Excel.
  • Good knowledge of UAE (or relevant country's) VAT laws and financial regulations.
