The Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the company's retail operations and financial transactions comply with all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards. This role involves developing compliance frameworks, monitoring financial activities, conducting audits, and advising management on potential compliance risks—particularly those related to financial and retail operations.

Regulatory & Policy Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs in line with applicable retail, financial, and consumer protection laws.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and ensure company policies are updated accordingly.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and legal advisors for inspections and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure all financial transactions, invoicing, and recordkeeping meet statutory and tax regulations.

Financial & Operational Oversight

  • Review financial statements, payment processes, and internal controls to detect compliance risks or irregularities.
  • Support Finance and Accounting teams in maintaining transparency and accuracy in reporting.
  • Conduct risk assessments across retail branches, supply chains, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure adherence to anti-money laundering (AML), fraud prevention, and data protection standards.

Internal Audit & Training

  • Plan and conduct periodic compliance audits for store operations, financial departments, and distribution centers.
  • Provide compliance training and workshops for staff to promote awareness of company policies and legal obligations.
  • Investigate compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.

Reporting & Advisory

  • Prepare compliance reports and risk analysis summaries for senior management and regulatory authorities.
  • Advise management on compliance trends and recommend improvements to governance frameworks.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for compliance-related issues across the retail network.
