Job Description:

  • Compliance Officer should verify the documents to ensure completeness, quality and veracity. Review on-boarding documents and provide sign-off before submitting to Compliance Manager and Manger in Charge for approval. Including Client visit form.
  • Report suspicious/unusual transactions & customers; escalate the matter to Head of Compliance in a timely manner with proper analysis
  • Responsible to implement the policies and procedures
  • Provide all required information to the head of compliance on all the services in a timely manner
  • Monitor, identify, assess & report customers compliance risks
  • Review and address AML & Watch list and alerts. Update the blacklists on a regular basis.
  • Ensure that compliance procedures, systems & controls are up-to-date & effective in India office
  • Maintain the compliance manual & all compliance procedure documentation
  • Perform the customer review & risk assessment on a regular basis for all customers
  • Ensure all customer files are timely created & updated with adequate & relevant information & documentation
  • Maintain all necessary supporting documents for transactions, KYC, monitoring, suspicious transaction reporting
  • Attend regular training on AML & CFT, other compliance matters, including internal policies & procedures, the application of standards & guidelines & relevant laws & regulatory requirements
  • Maintain an understanding of relevant regulatory requirements to provide advice & guidance to the branches
  • Continuous coordination with internal team to provide the information/documentation requested by Head of compliance
  • Promote & enhance a strong compliance culture
  • Continuously coach & encourage team members on compliance related matters
  • Perform other duties as per the requirement or instructions from the Head of compliance or management.
