Technical Project Manager – Cybersecurity

Location: Dubai, UAE

Department: Professional Services / Delivery

Role Summary

The Technical Project Manager will lead and coordinate the end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity projects across advisory, technical assessments, SOC/MDR, OT security and licensing engagements. The role ensures projects are delivered with clear scope, strong governance, disciplined execution, and high client satisfaction. This position requires close coordination with internal teams, partners, and clients across the UAE and wider GCC

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Delivery

• Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
• Build project plans, schedules, milestone charts, and RACI logs.
• Manage scope, change requests, and prevent scope deviation.
• Conduct project kick-off meetings, weekly reviews, and steering committees.
• Track progress against timelines and ensure timely delivery of all outputs.

Technical Coordination

• Work closely with technical teams across penetration testing, red teaming, SOC/MDR, GRC, and OT security.
• Coordinate resource allocation, workload balancing, and deliverable readiness.
• Review technical outputs for structure, completeness, and quality.
• Support effort estimation and solution input for lower-complexity engagements.

Financial & Commercial Governance

• Track project budgets, utilisation, and margin expectations.
• Monitor burn rate and budget vs actuals; escalate risks proactively.
• Ensure milestone billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition are completed on schedule.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary delivery contact for client stakeholders.
• Provide weekly status updates, action trackers, and risk logs.
• Manage escalations, resolve issues promptly, and maintain strong relationships.
• Drive positive client satisfaction and support identification of upsell opportunities.

Process, Documentation & Quality

• Maintain complete project documentation including plans, minutes, RAID logs, deliverables, and acceptance certificates.
• Ensure compliance with internal delivery standards and governance processes.
• Maintain accurate and timely updates in CRM and project management tools.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with Sales for project handover and scope alignment.
• Coordinate with BU Leads for resourcing and technical assurance.
• Work with HR on resource onboarding and competency allocation.
• Coordinate with Finance for forecasting, budgeting, and invoicing cycles.

Travel Requirements

• Travel within the UAE and occasionally to KSA or other GCC countries based on project needs.
• Travel is typically required for client workshops, kick-offs, milestone meetings, and onsite coordination.
• Estimated travel: 10%–30% depending on the project portfolio and delivery phase.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Background

• 5–8+ years of project management experience in cybersecurity or IT security.

Project Management Competencies

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong skills in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.
• Proficiency with tools such as MS Project, Jira, , or similar.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and client-facing capabilities.
• Ability to influence, negotiate, and guide technical teams.
• Strong documentation, organisation, and governance discipline.

Preferred Certifications

• PMP, PRINCE2, or PMI-ACP.
• Security-related certifications such as ISO 27001 LA/LI, Security+, CCSP, or CISSP (advantage).
