Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate the need for surgical intervention regarding gastrointestinal conditions.
- Perform a range of surgical procedures, including both traditional and minimally invasive techniques for gastrointestinal disorders.
- Manage comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative patient care, ensuring optimal recovery.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in a multidisciplinary medical team to enhance patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, potential risks, and recovery processes.
- Remain updated on the latest advancements in gastrointestinal surgery and implement evidence-based practices.
- Document all patient interactions, surgical outcomes, and follow-up care in compliance with medical standards.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a General Surgery residency and fellowship in Gastrointestinal Surgery.
- Board certification in General Surgery and/or subspecialty certification in Gastrointestinal Surgery.
- 3-5 years of experience in gastrointestinal surgical practice preferred.
- Exceptional surgical skills and familiarity with modern surgical techniques and technologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations.
- Active and unrestricted state medical license.
- Dedication to continuous learning and professional development in the field.
