Position Overview

Six Senses The Palm Dubai is seeking a Spa Trainer & Head Therapist to lead therapist performance, elevate treatment standards, and deliver a consistently exceptional wellness experience. This role combines hands-on expertise with leadership, training, and operational oversight to uphold Six Senses award-winning spa philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate therapist performance and recommend operational improvements
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor spa therapists to deliver consistent, exceptional treatments
  • Provide full departmental orientation for new spa team members
  • Guide daily spa operations, ensuring opening and closing procedures follow brand standards
  • Set up treatment rooms and spa facilities according to Six Senses Spa protocols
  • Prepare and submit training reports to the spa management and home office
  • Conduct monthly training sessions and follow the individual development plans for each therapist
  • Assess therapist treatment skills with the Assistant Spa Manager and Spa Manager
  • Stay updated on massage and beauty therapy techniques, wellness trends, and spa innovations
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety, security, and emergency procedures
  • Safeguard guest privacy and handle personal data with confidentiality
  • Upsell spa services, wellness programs, and property activities
  • Participate in meetings and required training sessions
  • Maintain rigorous adherence to LQA standards

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a luxury spa or wellness environment

Recognized certifications in anatomy, physiology, massage therapy, and beauty therapy (NVQ, ITEC, CIDESCO, or equivalent)

Strong training, leadership, and communication abilities

Hands-on competency across massage, beauty, and holistic therapies

Up-to-date knowledge of global spa and wellness trends

Organized, guest-focused, and committed to delivering high-end service
