Position Title: Civil / Architectural Inspector

Location: UAE

Industry: Engineering Consultancy / Construction Supervision

Experience Required: 5–10 years (minimum 5-7 years in the UAE)

Job Purpose

The Civil / Architectural Inspector is responsible for supervising and inspecting civil and architectural works on construction projects to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable standards, and UAE local authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and monitor civil and architectural works including structural finishes, blockwork, plastering, tiling, waterproofing, façades, and general finishing works.
  • Ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved shop drawings, material submittals, project specifications, and contract documents.
  • Conduct routine site inspections and issue inspection reports highlighting compliance or non-conformities.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other disciplines to resolve technical and quality issues on site.
  • Review and verify method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and material approvals.
  • Monitor workmanship quality and ensure adherence to approved construction methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE local authority regulations (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, ADM, etc.) and relevant international standards (BS, ASTM, ACI).
  • Maintain accurate records including daily site reports, inspection logs, and photographic documentation.
  • Participate in snagging, de-snagging, and final handover inspections.
  • Assist in monitoring site safety compliance in coordination with HSE teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Architecture or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of overall experience in civil and architectural inspection or site supervision.
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant experience within the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of civil and architectural construction practices and finishing standards.
  • Experience working on residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use projects.
  • Familiarity with UAE authority requirements and inspection procedures.
  • Strong reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities
