We are looking for a full-time
Civil Inspector
at
KWEC | Al Khawajah Engineering Consultancy
in Dubai. The Civil Inspector will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of construction activities, ensuring that all work on-site is executed according to approved drawings, safety standards, and project timelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • General oversight of Inspector's daily activities including work assignments, on-site performance and guidance on the supervision of the Contractor's operations
  • Review and Comment/Approve of the Contractor's Shop Drawings
  • Coordination with Contractor's personnel regarding schedule, sequence and method of work
  • Review the as-built drawings, in coordination with inspectors and surveyors
  • Witness the laboratory tests and verify test results.
  • Report non-conformances by the Contractor, if observed, while the Contractor executes his scope of services
  • Portray strong leadership skills
  • Ensure high quality of works during the construction period, strict compliance with the Employer's Requirements, Projects Specifications and Safety Requirements
  • Review of Contractor's Design for compliance with Employer's Requirements, Authority Requirements, End-User Requirements and Local and International Standards.
  • Review and provide necessary comments/approval to the Contractor's technical submittals including but not limited to calculations, drawings, material … etc.
  • Lead project construction meetings.
  • Prepare non-conformance report to the contractor, if observed, while the Contractor executes his scope of services
  • Able to coordinate & control project activities as per the consultancy agreement.
  • Overall project management and commercial delivery of the project.
  • Monitoring and reviewing progress of project and quality of work as per the contract.
  • Review and provide necessary comments/approvals for Contractor's technical submittals, including calculations, drawings, and materials.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil Engineer.
  • Previous experience in an Architectural and Engineering Consultancy is mandatory.
  • Experience as a consultant engineer on-site.
  • Excellent English and Arabic communication skills.
  • Valid UAE Driver's License.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to motivate team members.
  • Excellent knowledge of Dubai Authorities' requirements and standards.
