Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Hygiene Officer to join our team. As a Hygiene Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enforcing hygiene standards in compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and oversee hygiene and sanitation protocols across all kitchen and food handling areas.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality rules and regulations.
  • Develop and enforce hygiene policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs of school catering.
  • Train kitchen staff on hygiene practices and safe food handling techniques.
  • Monitor food storage, preparation, and serving to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Investigate and resolve any hygiene-related issues or complaints promptly.
  • Collaborate with management to continuously improve hygiene standards and operational efficiency.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and updates in food safety regulations, especially those pertinent to children's dietary requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Hygiene Officer or similar role in a catering or food service environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Dubai Municipality rules and regulations related to food hygiene and safety.
  • Understanding of children's dietary requirements and sensitivity to their health needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and train others on hygiene practices.
  • Certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP) is a plus.
