General Ledger Accountant

Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in general accounting and excellent Excel skills to manage and analyze financial data.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger on a monthly basis.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Use advanced Excel functions to analyze financial data and create reports.
Periodic reconciliation of GL ledgers and sub ledgers.
Prepare a checklist of monthly accrual and amortization expenses.
Ensure proper posting of entries in the right GL of respective departments.
Ensure timely payment and replenishment utilities and Government related accounts.
Prepare correspondence accounts entries related to employee payroll and benefits.
Experience & Educational Qualifications required:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certification in Accounting will be an added advantage (CMA / CPA).
Minimum 3 years of experience as a General Ledger accountant.
In-depth knowledge of accruals, reconciliation, and period end closing process.
Working knowledge of ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle.
Working knowledge of Infor M3 will be an added advantage.
Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel.
Attention to detail with high level of accuracy.
Strong Communication Skills in English, Arabic will be an added advantage.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED5, AED7,000.00 per month
