The Cashier cum Junior Accountant is responsible for handling daily cash transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the accounting team in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting. This role ensures smooth financial operations and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Handling & Banking:

  • Manage daily cash and cheque collections and ensure accurate recording.
  • Issue receipts and maintain proper documentation for all cash transactions.
  • Deposit cash and cheques into the bank on a regular basis.
  • Maintain petty cash and prepare daily cash reports.

Accounting Support:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP system).
  • Assist in preparing vouchers (payment, receipt, journal, and contra).
  • Support month-end closing and bank reconciliation.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable balances.
  • Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records.

Reporting & Compliance:

  • Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documents and data.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Other Duties:

  • Coordinate with other departments for financial information and payments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Accounts Manager.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in cash handling and accounting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3, AED5,000.00 per month
