The Head of Tax will lead Payfuture's global tax strategy across various national and international jurisdictions such as UAE, Europe and the UK. This individual will be responsible for all tax related matters including, but not limited to tax compliance, efficiency, and long-term corporate tax planning while driving strategic initiatives that support our international growth and profitability.

This is a strategic role, balancing technical expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to partner with leadership to create long term value for the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Payfuture Group's global tax strategy, ensuring compliance and optimization across the UAE, Europe, UK and any other jurisdiction as we source more licenses.
  • Advise the executive team on corporate structuring, transfer pricing, and tax-efficient business models.
  • Liaise with external tax advisors for group tax structuring, transfer pricing advice, and subsequent implementation of recommendations.
  • Oversee tax planning, compliance, and risk management across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Provide strategic input on cross-border transactions, M&A, and new market entries as business grows.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure tax efficiency is embedded in business processes and commercial decision-making.
  • Stay ahead of global tax developments (BEPS, OECD guidelines, VAT, digital tax initiatives, stable coin related developments) and proactively assess their impact on Payfuture, with a focus on cross-border tax implications.
  • Manage all statutory filings, audits, and reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications & Experience

  • CA / CPA / ACCA qualified, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, or Taxation.
  • 12-15+ years' experience in international tax with exposure to multi-jurisdictional operations.
  • The ideal candidate will have tax experience with the Big 4 and industry experience preferably within fintech, payments or technology sectors.
  • Proven success in developing and executing tax strategies for high-growth or multinational organizations.
  • Strong understanding of transfer pricing, double taxation treaties, and cross-border tax structuring.
  • Demonstrated hands-on ability to liaise with global tax authorities and external advisors.
  • Experience and knowledge of IFRS is essential
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Reporting directly to CFO but with deep interactions with the broader cross-functional teams
