Job Title: Senior Tax Manager – Direct & Indirect Tax

Reporting to: Head of Finance / CFO

Job Summary:

We are hiring a Senior Tax Manager to lead and manage all direct (Corporate Tax) and indirect tax (VAT) matters for our operations in the UAE. The role includes ensuring full compliance with UAE tax laws, managing tax filings, advising on tax planning strategies, and supporting the business with expert tax guidance.

Corporate (Direct) Tax:

  • Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax Law.
  • Prepare and review corporate tax returns and related filings.
  • Calculate and manage tax provisions and deferred tax.
  • Monitor tax law updates and assess business impact.
  • Develop tax planning strategies to optimize tax positions.

VAT (Indirect Tax):

  • Oversee VAT return preparation and submission.
  • Review VAT treatment of sales, purchases, and contracts.
  • Ensure correct application of zero-rated, exempt, and standard-rated transactions.
  • Manage VAT reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

Tax Compliance & Advisory:

  • Respond to tax audits and inquiries from the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).
  • Maintain proper tax documentation and ensure recordkeeping is audit-ready.
  • Advise internal departments on tax implications of business decisions.
  • Train finance and operational teams on tax compliance.

Reporting:

  • Provide regular tax reports to management.
  • Coordinate with external advisors, auditors, and legal teams as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 4–7 years of tax experience in the UAE.
  • Professional qualification preferred (MBA, CA, ACCA, CPA, CTA, or ADIT).
  • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax laws.
  • Experience handling FTA audits and tax filings.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
