Job Summary
The Typist cum PRO is responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of all company documentation, particularly those requiring submission to UAE government entities. This dual role requires exceptional typing speed and precision for preparing official papers, combined with expert knowledge and execution of public relations activities, including visa processing, labor transactions, and licensing requirements in Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities1. Government Relations (PRO Services)
- Visa and Immigration Processing: Manage the end-to-end processing of employment visas, residency permits, renewals, cancellations, and status changes for all employees through ICP/GDRFA and other relevant government portals.
- Labour Services: Handle all transactions with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), including labor contracts, work permits, and establishment card renewals.
- Company Licensing: Manage the renewal and modification of all company trade licenses, commercial registrations, and permits with the Department of Economic Development (DED) and Free Zone authorities.
- Document Attestation: Coordinate the submission and retrieval of official documents requiring government attestation, translation, and authentication.2. Typing, Documentation, and Data Management
- Official Document Preparation: Accurately type, format, and prepare official letters, applications, contracts, and legal documents in both English and Arabic as required for government submission.
- Database Entry: Maintain and update records related to employee statuses, document expiry dates (passports, visas, licenses), and government fee payments in the company database.
- Confidentiality: Handle all sensitive employee and corporate data with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
Required Skills and QualificationsTechnical & Professional Competencies
- Government Portal Expertise: Proven experience using UAE government portals (e.g., MOHRE/Tasheel, ICP/GDRFA/Amer, Abu Dhabi DED) is mandatory.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic is essential for official correspondence and interaction with government officials.
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Personal Attributes
- Local Knowledge: Strong understanding of Abu Dhabi's geography and governmental administrative processes.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent relationship-building and communication skills to effectively liaise with government personnel.
- Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple complex visa and licensing processes simultaneously under strict deadlines.
- Dependability: A proactive, disciplined, and highly dependable working style.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; a certification in administrative services or public relations is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of combined experience as a Typist and a PRO, specifically handling government services and corporate documentation in Abu Dhabi.
