About the role:

We are looking for Proposal Engineer, where you will provide sales and technical support to the Regional Sales Managers in producing proposals for fire and gas detection systems worldwide. 

Your main activities will be to:


•Perform detailed reviews of RFQ and enquiry documentation.


•Prepare and write technical and commercial proposals in response to enquiries from customers.


•Prepare designs and technical specifications for engineered fire and gas systems that meet customer specifications and requirements.


•Co-ordinate with internal and external support to provide inputs into proposals.


•Liaise with the sales team, commercial and legal contracts staff throughout the proposals process to ensure proposals are coherent and risk is understood throughout the business as the proposal nears successful completion.


•Assist Regional Sales Managers and customers with technical queries.

Requirements:

 We are looking for someone who has worked within engineering disciplines to ensure timely delivery of technical solutions, costed bids and supporting engineering activities. As you will Support the Det-Tronics Middle East & India Sales team in producing proposals and providing technical support, it is important that you also have the following:

 
•Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical certification in a relevant discipline. 


•At least seven years' experience in the estimation role


•Experience with designing technical specifications as well as creating technical proposals


•Experience within fire and gas systems are an advantage

•Strong administrative and organizational skills as well as excellent attention to detail


•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English


•Disposition to learn and enthusiastic attitude.


•Strong interpersonal and communication skills both internally and working with the customer, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the business


•Work Prioritization, an ability to prioritize work and use own initiative for task completion
