Role Overview:
Orbit ISS is looking for a skilled Document Controller – (Quality Control) to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate document management, revision control, and seamless coordination across project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all project-related document transmittals with proper revision control.
  • Maintain organized document segregation, labeling, and updated databases.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, Commercial, and Yard teams on document issues, numbering, and revisions.
  • Ensure latest documents are used at all work fronts and previous revisions are superseded correctly.
  • Support planning activities including manhour tracking, project scheduling, and progress updates.
  • Verify manhour bookings and highlight discrepancies to supervision.
  • Assist in preparing project rundown curves and manpower loading plans.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering).
  • Training in primavera/MS Project is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role within a shipyard or construction environment.
  • Strong understanding of piping construction, shipyard processes, and multi-trade coordination.
  • Ability to read piping drawings, material grades, weld maps, and spool trackers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; basic knowledge of Primavera is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and manage multiple projects efficiently.
