Job TitleDrainage Engineer Design Parsons Corporation Dubai, UAEbr>Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently design stormwater drainage systems for infrastructure and civil projectsDevelop non-conventional and smart drainage systems including Sustainable Urban Drainage solutionsPrepare stormwater drainage designs using principles of urban drainage, SuDS, and water sensitive designPerform hydraulic and system design to meet site-specific project requirementsApply understanding of biological and physical stormwater management processesIntroduce innovative approaches and value engineering solutions in drainage designSupport and supervise junior engineers under guidance of senior engineersCarry out hydrologic modelling, calculations, drawings, and technical report writingParticipate across all project stages with responsibility under senior engineer supervisionCoordinate with CAD, BIM, and 3D modelling teams to ensure integrated design deliveryDesired Candidate ProfileIdeal ProfileDegree in Civil Engineering from a recognized universityMinimum five years of experience in infrastructure, civil, or water engineering projectsExperience in stormwater drainage design, catchment analysis, and stormwater managementAbility to work independently with limited supervision while contributing to team deliverySkills SetStrong knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics principlesExperience designing culverts, urban drainage systems, and highway drainageProficiency in modelling and design software including SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and CAD toolsExperience with InfoWorks ICM considered an advantageStrong capability with GIS and CAD tools such as ArcMap, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStationSolid mathematical skills for developing and validating design calculationsKnowledge of Water Sensitive Design and Sustainable Drainage SystemsStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organisational skills and team-oriented approach
