Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with institutional goals and long-term plans
- Identify strategic and operational improvement opportunities across the HR function
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on organisational design, workforce planning and people strategy
Organisational Design & Workforce Planning
- Design and review organisational structures to support academic and operational objectives
- Establish short- and long-term workforce plans, succession strategies and talent pipelines
- Provide strategic guidance on optimal staffing models, reward structures and benefits
HR Governance, Policy & Compliance
- Establish, implement and continuously improve HR policies, procedures and standard operating frameworks
- Ensure full compliance with employment legislation and regulatory requirements
- Monitor HR risk, governance and best practice across the institution
Talent Acquisition, Development & Retention
- Oversee recruitment, selection and onboarding processes across academic and professional functions
- Lead talent management, succession planning and retention initiatives
- Design and oversee learning, development and leadership programmes
Performance, Reward & Employee Relations
- Ensure fair, transparent and consistent performance management and appraisal processes
- Review and recommend equitable compensation and reward frameworks
- Lead employee relations matters including grievances and disciplinary processes
Culture, Engagement & Wellbeing
- Drive initiatives that promote engagement, inclusion and a positive working environment
- Lead staff engagement surveys, analyse feedback and implement action plans
- Support recognition, wellbeing and staff engagement initiatives
HR Operations & Systems
- Oversee HR operations, HRIS and data-driven reporting
- Lead continuous improvement, digital transformation and process optimisation
- Develop, coach and lead a multi-disciplinary HR team
Requirements
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- Master's degree, MBA or equivalent strongly preferred
- Professional HR certification (CIPD Level 5 or 7, SHRM or similar) highly desirable
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years' experience within HR, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or managerial role
- Experience within
education or higher education
strongly preferred - Proven experience leading HR strategy, governance and organisational change
