Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and proactive HSE Officer to ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations, project HSE standards, and international best practices across construction and/or fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies to maintain a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices in line with UAE laws and project requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with DDA, Civil Defense, and local authority regulations.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions to site staff and contractors.
  • Monitor high-risk activities including confined space entry, hot works, work at height, and gas testing.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and corrective action plans.
  • Maintain HSE documentation, permits, inspection records, and compliance reports.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure HSE compliance.
  • Support emergency preparedness, fire safety drills, and first-aid readiness.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to approved method statements and risk assessments (MSRA).

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health & Safety / Environmental Science or related field
  • NEBOSH IGC (Level 3) – Mandatory
  • DDA Approved HSE Officer – Preferred
  • Authorized Gas Tester Training
  • Confined Space Entry Safety Training
  • Fire Safety & HABC Level 3 Emergency First Aid
  • BTSP / IOSH / OSHA certifications – Advantage

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as an HSE Officer in the UAE construction / fit-out industry
  • Strong knowledge of UAE HSE laws, regulations, and permit systems
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and training skills
  • Ability to work independently and enforce safety compliance on-site

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5, AED6,000.00 per month
