Our client is a leading consultancy delivering large-scale infrastructure and water projects in the UAE.
The Role:
The Resident Engineer role involves overseeing the on-site delivery of large water or infrastructure projects. This position requires strong technical expertise, on-site coordination, and a proven track record in large-scale projects. The role focuses on ensuring construction quality, safety compliance, and timely project execution in alignment with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to approved designs, specifications, and schedules.
- Act as the primary on-site interface for the client, contractors, and consultants on technical and contractual matters.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and consultants, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to address delays or deviations.
- Uphold strict quality control and ensure compliance with HSE procedures and project specifications.
- Review and approve site documentation, progress reports, and technical submissions.
- Identify potential risks on-site and implement mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in managing large-scale infrastructure or water projects
- Experience with Tier 1 PMCs (essential).
- Strong knowledge of on-site construction management, QA/QC, and HSE standards.
- Proven ability to coordinate contractors, consultants, and project teams effectively.
- RTA or DM approved (preferred, but not mandatory)
