A leading government hospital in the UAE is seeking highly qualified Consultant Emergency Medicine physicians (Adult and/or Pediatric).

The role involves delivering high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment, aligned with international best practices and local regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert emergency medical care to adult and/or pediatric patients presenting with acute and life-threatening conditions

  • Perform rapid assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, and management of emergency cases

  • Lead and supervise emergency department clinical teams, including residents and nursing staff

  • Perform and oversee emergency procedures in line with scope of practice

  • Collaborate closely with specialty consultants, ICU teams, and allied health professionals

  • Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards

  • Participate in clinical governance, audits, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives

  • Support teaching, mentoring, and training of junior medical staff

  • Adhere to UAE healthcare regulations and hospital policies

RequirementsRequirements

Medical Degree from an accredited institution

American Board Certification in Emergency Medicine

  • Adult Emergency Medicine and/or

  • Pediatric Emergency Medicine

Eligible for UAE Consultant licence (DOH / DHA / MOH, depending on emirate)

Minimum 3–5 years' post-board experience at Consultant level

Strong clinical decision-making and leadership skills

Excellent communication skills in English

Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, high-volume emergency setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine (for pediatric role)

  • Previous experience working in tertiary or teaching hospitals

  • International healthcare experience (US / Canada / UK / Ireland / Australia preferred)
