Job Overview

The Civil 3D Modeler will be responsible for developing 3D models, detailed drawings, and design documentation using Autodesk Civil 3D for infrastructure and civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of civil design standards, drafting principles, and project coordination in accordance with UAE engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D for roads, utilities, grading, and infrastructure projects.

  • Prepare surface models, alignments, profiles, corridors, and cross sections as per project specifications.

  • Generate quantity take-offs, material reports, and design documentation for project submissions.

  • Coordinate with civil engineers, architects, and project managers to understand design requirements and incorporate feedback.

  • Ensure models and drawings comply with applicable standards, codes, and client requirements.

  • Assist in preparing IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.

  • Review drawings and models to identify inconsistencies, errors, or clashes and propose corrective actions.

  • Maintain file organization, version control, and documentation of design changes.

  • Support BIM coordination activities and contribute to digital project delivery workflows.

  • Participate in design meetings and provide technical input on modeling-related issues.

Essential Qualifications

  • Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Civil 3D Modeler in infrastructure or civil engineering projects.

  • Proven project exposure in UAE is an added advantage.

Skills Required

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and related civil design tools.

  • Strong knowledge of road design, grading, utilities layout, land development, and earthwork modeling.

  • Ability to create surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, and quantity take-offs using Civil 3D.

  • Understanding of UAE engineering standards, authority guidelines, and civil codes.

  • Good communication, coordination, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and survey data.

  • Experience with BIM workflows and collaboration tools is preferred.
