What You ll Be Doing
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for all commercial activities across the project.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve project objectives and maximize value.

- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, including managing claims, variations, and disputes.
- Provide expert advice on contract interpretation and risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead the development and management of project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Monitor project costs and implement robust cost control measures to prevent overruns.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and cost analysis for senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage procurement processes, including tendering, bid evaluations, and vendor selection.
- Ensure procurement activities align with project requirements and organizational policies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential financial and contractual challenges.
- Lead and mentor the commercial team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and consultants, to ensure alignment on commercial matters.
- Represent the project in commercial discussions and negotiations with stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
- Prepare and present comprehensive commercial reports to stakeholders and senior management.
What Required Skills You ll Bring
- Bachelor s degree in Quantity Surveying
- Professional certification (e.g., RICS, MRICS, or equivalent) is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial management within the infrastructure construction sector.
- Extensive knowledge of contract law, procurement processes, and cost management principles.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects and delivering within budget and schedule.
- Proficiency in project management software and financial tools.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and resolve disputes effectively.
